Description
A quick and easy weeknight dinner that transforms frozen ravioli into a comforting, protein-packed meal. This bake requires no boiling or thawing, just assemble and bake for a delicious, cheesy pasta dish ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 16 oz frozen cheese ravioli (spinach and ricotta or four-cheese)
- 24 oz marinara sauce (low-sodium recommended)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried basil or oregano
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with olive oil or non-stick spray.
- Pour half of the marinara sauce into the bottom of the dish and spread evenly.
- Arrange frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce; do not thaw.
- Pour the remaining sauce over the ravioli and spread to cover.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
- Season with dried basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and starting to brown.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow sauce to thicken.
Notes
Do not thaw the ravioli before baking to prevent mushiness. If your oven runs hot, cover with foil for the first 15 minutes. Letting the dish rest for 5 minutes is crucial to prevent a watery sauce. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
